Overview

General Description/Position Overview:

FirstView is a payment technology solution provider and prepaid debit card program manager and processor. The .Net Developer participates in the entire software development lifecycle. This role is responsible for application design, preparing technical specifications, completing code reviews and assuring quality of deliverables. The Developer will also provide ongoing maintenance of existing code and provide technical support as required.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:

  • Coordinate with business users, project managers and management to translate functional designs into technical specifications that conform with the company application architecture.
  • Write clean testable code using C#, .Net framework, and web technolgies. Ensure code is compliant with company coding standards and naming conventions and is properly documented.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior developers. Perform code review, testing to ensure .Net applications are delivered bug-free.
  • Stay current with upgrades, changes and advancements in .Net framework, SQL Server, REST API and coding techniques to ensure software development projects
  • Perform debugging and code maintenance as required.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience developing applications in a team environment utilizing advanced SDLC techniques.

  • Deep understanding of .Net framework, C#, SQL Server, cloud deployment, JSON, JavaScript, and ASP.NET. MCSD highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and respond to overlapping tasks while delivering projects on time in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex ideas to others.

  • Travel Requirements: Travel is not expected.
