We are currently looking for a Vice President of Accounting. The VP ofAccounting is responsible for the oversight of accounting functions including, financial reporting, accounting, and tax.



Responsibilities

  • Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
  • Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Communicates regularly with senior management on status reports.
  • Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
  • Detail orientation with the ability to see in the context of the broader business framework
  • Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Directing all accounting and finance functions including policy, processes, and software management.
  • Managing the development of finance and accounting staff.
  • Providing timely reporting and insights to stakeholders.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Managing annual audit.
  • Tracking benchmarks for measuring Company’s financial and operating performance.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and reliable information with appropriate actionable insights to help the business achieve its stated targets
  • Assess and develop existing team members to ensure finance function is set up to support the business operating at peak performance
  • Other financial duties as required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • 7+ years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed for this role
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to present complex financial topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions to create understanding
  • Excellent knowledge of regulations and laws applicable to the job function
  • Mentor team members
  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred
